10 for 10

carrying over some of the goals from last year:( Main goal is to get myself together...

goals 2010:
…make a self-portrait that i’m happy with (goal from '09)
…scream on top of my lungs in a desolate place (goal from '09)
…get rid of self-pity
…play a song on my guitar (goal from '09)
…downsize my book library (long term)
…increase the strength of my breathing muscles by 1 level (long term)
…read 24 books (16 last year)
…watch 40 films (28 last year)
…make prints for family and friends
…play more Wii

edit: it's time to do some big read this year, since i haven't done so after leaving school, but also because of the Sony eBook reader i received on my birthday:) will brave something from these authors: 金庸, Marcel Proust, Dostoyevsky, Tolstoy

i'd like to

…make a self-portrait that i’m happy with
…increase the strength of my breathing muscles by 1 level
…downsize my book library by 50 books
…make fewer but better photos
…turn my photos into books and prints
…not cry in 7 consecutive days
…manage the first 6 Tai Chi movements well
…remember the birthdays of friends’ kids
…knit something
…scream on top of my lungs in a desolate place
…practice Chinese calligraphy more often
…buy some crafting knives and craft something
…use all the gift coupons i was given before they expire
…play a song on my guitar

These are things i set out to do at the beginning of 2009, then added some more along the way. 4 months to go…

christmas @ leicester square

carousel @ Leicester Square

Another photo i took with the Lensbaby 3G. The horse could be in sharper focus and brighten up a bit but i love that it reminds me of the vibrance and fun at the fair!

Leicester Square

took my new Lensbaby 3G out for a test shoot. so much fun! it took some trial and error before i got the effect i had wanted, but once you get the hang of it, you'll find yourself addicted to this little lens!

zaha hadid: architecture and design

prototype: glasgow museum of transport - riverside project

went to this exhibition at the design museum last month. zaha hadid really shows incredible imagination and her work is so cool and beautiful, as if they're a statement of i'm here come and admire me. shame she didn't get to build in hk. my fav of the exhibition is her design for the glasgow museum of transport. i didn't read about the concept behind it but love the finesse of the cross section (more info here). the museum should be up and running by 2009. will sure go check it out.
